Since March 20th Beyond the Wall in Thornham Magna has had to close its doors to the public and the people we support, due to the Corona Virus pandemic. Its been a difficult time for many of our clients and families, however as a team we have been doing all sorts of creative things to provide support to help people keep safe and well during this time.
Alongside this, we have taken the opportunity to focus on our spring plant sales, and have with our volunteers, set up a number of small stalls in villages including Westhorpe, where sales have helped with our annual fundraising.
The Westhorpe stall opposite the church at Town Yard, has been stocked with plants that have been grown over the winter from cuttings by our clients, and with sales from this stall we are delighted to have raised a little over £240, every penny of which will be used to ensure that our clients get the support they need when we open up our doors again.
Everyone at Beyond the Wall would like to extend their gratitude to everyone who brought a plant from our Westhorpe stall, your support and generosity is hugely appreciated and has contributed to over £2000 raised so far through plant sales during this lockdown period.
Many thanks everyone
Phill at Town Yard
